Refund and Returns Policy
At Makhi Luxury Taps we stand by our quality. If you’re not happy, we will make it right.
Please read our Returns & Refund Policy before making a purchase.
1. 7-DAY CHANGE OF MIND (COOLING-OFF)
- You may return unused, uninstalled items in original packaging within 7 days of delivery/collection.
- Items must not be used, scratched, or installed.
- Refund less 15% handling/restocking fee. Delivery fee non-refundable.
2. DEFECTIVE / DAMAGED / WRONG ITEM
- As per the Consumer Protection Act, you have 6 months for defective goods.
- Report within 48 hours with photos to sales@makhiluxurytaps.co.za
- We will repair, replace, or refund — your choice. We cover return collection for defects in Gauteng. Outside Gauteng, courier costs to be arranged.
- For Combo Deals: Please check all items (Combo 1, 3 etc) on delivery before installer leaves. Report shortages immediately.
3. WHAT WE CANNOT ACCEPT
- Items that have been installed, used, or sealed goods opened (silicone, waste fittings)
- Custom orders, special colours (Matte Black specials ordered on request)
- Baths and shower doors without original pallet/packaging
- Items damaged by incorrect installation or harsh cleaners
4. HOW TO RETURN
Step 1
WhatsApp/Call 068 146 5775 with order number + reason + photos.
Step 2
We issue a Return Authorization Number (RAN).
Step 3
Bring to Pretoria North / Edenvale store or we arrange collection.
Step 4
Inspection within 2 working days.
5. REFUNDS
- Approved refunds paid within 7-10 working days to original payment method.
- PayJustNow: refund goes back to PayJustNow, not cash.
- Laybuy: refund less payments made, rest cancelled.
- Cash on Delivery / EFT / Instore: EFT refund.
6. CANCELLATIONS - LAYBUY
If you cancel laybuy before final payment: Deposit refundable less R400 admin fee, if items not ordered from supplier. If items already ordered, 15% fee applies.
7. WARRANTY
- Taps, Mixers, Shower Columns: 2 Year warranty against manufacturing defects
- Freestanding baths, basins: 2 Year warranty
- Toilets: 1 Year on mechanisms
Warranty does not cover wear & tear, limescale, or incorrect installation. Must be installed by qualified plumber – proof required.
8. DELIVERIES
Please inspect goods with driver. Note any damages on delivery note and take photos. We are not liable for damages reported after 48 hours.
